| sotr 004 shimon adaf - soon there will be summer e.p | "The songs in 'Soon There Will Be Summer' were recorded over a very short and intense period of time ...........their music was created using the same three musical instruments: an acoustic guitar (Takemine), a plain electric guitar (Fender Telecaster) and an old fashioned keyboards (Casio HT-3000). I used the same set of strings on both guitars during the recording session, never cleaned the keyboards and recorded all tracks directly to the computer. Then I played the songs to Yuval Shafrir, who took the sound files to his studio (D.B.) and did wonders" (shimon adaf)

This time round, Gal Tushia and David Ovadia from the Teder label -confront zadik intense zorna sounds. An inspiring atmospheric intro that brings to mind Yayehe's touching field recordings cd - Sleeping In The Market: Ethiopian Music & Sounds From Amhara - released earlier this year via Latitude/ Locust. The main remix (track 2) sees Dj Kube and Yayehe rave on to the zurna's high pitched sounds delivering an unresistable house / club anthem.
